Vintage Vinyl – Fords, NJ (1984–2021) From its humble beginnings in Irvington in 1979 to its legendary run in Fords, Vintage Vinyl wasn’t just a record store—it was a rite of passage. Known for its deep catalog, punk imports, metal rarities, and in-store performances from bands like My Chemical Romance, Thursday, and Queens of the Stone Age, the shop became a cultural landmark for music heads across New Jersey and beyond. Owner Rob Roth closed it for good in July 2021, ending a 42-year run of vinyl, sweat, and volume.
