Reopening in late spring of 1982, the Pier Pub was transformed with multiple smaller bars, a DJ booth, and a dance floor, quickly becoming a popular Jersey Shore destination known for its lively atmosphere and industry camaraderie.

The revitalized Pier Pub thrived as a central spot for socializing and dancing, drawing large crowds and fostering a strong sense of community. Sadly, this vibrant era was cut short by a tragic fire in July 1987. The fire, which started underneath the boardwalk, engulfed the entire pier, including the beloved Pier Pub, bringing an end to its run as a cherished Long Branch landmark. Though gone, the memories of its lively nights and oceanfront setting continue to resonate with those who experienced its heyday.
