City Gardens at 1701 Calhoun Street in Trenton opened in 1979 and became one of the most important punk, hardcore and alternative stages on the East Coast. Promoter Randy Now booked most of the national shows, and an estimated 4,000 bands played the room, including the Ramones more than 20 times, Danzig's first-ever show, and the first American appearances by A Flock of Seagulls and, by most accounts, Thompson Twins. Ween called it their home base, and Jon Stewart tended bar there in the mid-1980s. The club is gone now, but anyone who stood in that line remembers the painted wall out front.

This tee carries that wall: KING TUT PRESENT'S, ROCK N ROLL AT, City Gardens and BAR LOUNGE, traced from a photograph of the hand-painted sign with the sign painter's apostrophe and every rough edge left in, not set in a typeface. It is printed in black ink on a light garment, 11 inches wide across the chest so it reads like the sign did from the parking lot.
Printed to order on a soft, lightweight Gildan 64000 unisex tee, 100% ring-spun cotton (Sport Grey is a cotton blend), with shoulder-to-shoulder taping and a classic fit. Choose your size from the guide below.
