Deck House
The memory
The Deck House was a beloved rock music club located at 517 Lake Avenue in Asbury Park, New Jersey. It opened its doors in 1985 and quickly became a popular venue for live music enthusiasts. The club was owned by ex-musician Dave Myers, who transformed it into a hotspot for both local and touring bands. The Deck House was known for its intimate atmosphere and vibrant music scene, attracting a diverse crowd of music lovers. Unfortunately, the club closed its doors for good in the late 1990s, but it left a lasting impact on the Asbury Park music community.

During its brief but memorable existence, the Deck House hosted numerous notable events and performances. One of the most famous acts to grace its stage was Bruce Springsteen, who performed there on August 14, 1987. Bruce guested with The Fairlanes during the release party for Billy Hector's album, Hit The Road. The club also featured performances by other well-known bands and artists, contributing to its reputation as a key player in the local music scene. Despite its closure, the Deck House remains a cherished memory for those who experienced its unique blend of music and camaraderie.
Flat drawstrings, matched to the body rather than left plain, cinch a three-panel hood. Down front there's a pouch pocket built for cold hands, and the back gets a self-fabric patch. The face is 100% cotton; the rest of the shell is a 65% ring-spun cotton, 35% polyester mix from a Pakistan-sourced blank.
