The memory

Not every memory is a sunset on the boardwalk. This shirt is a memento to the far more complex—and unsettling—history of the Garden State. It pays tribute to the infamous Marlboro Psychiatric Hospital (1931-1998), a sprawling, isolated campus that became the stuff of local legend and urban decay. Before it was demolished, Marlboro was a chilling monument to mid-century psychiatric care. Its beautiful Tudor-style architecture belied a darker reality, whispered through its miles of tunnels and etched into the numbered stones of its patient cemetery. From reports of patient abuse and mysterious disappearances to tales of ghost hunters and the 'Weird NJ' crowd, this institution holds a permanent, fascinating place in New Jersey lore.

This hoodie is 50% pre-shrunk cotton and 50% polyester at 8.0 oz/yd² (Heather Sport Dark Navy runs 40/60 the other way), spun with air-jet yarn for a softer feel and less pilling. It's got a double-lined hood with a matching drawstring, a front pouch pocket, and 1×1 rib-knit cuffs that hold their shape.

The graphic is printed direct to garment, one at a time, after you order it.

Most orders ship within 3 business days, then normal transit time. Shipping is calculated at checkout, and it is free on any 3 tees or any order over $99.
