Art Stock's Royal Manor was where the loud stuff came through Middlesex County. Motörhead had played the week before, on the 20th. Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble came through in June, Johnny Winter and the Alvin Lee Band shared a night in March, Quiet Riot played in August and Molly Hatchet a week after that. Gang of Four, Bow Wow Wow, Missing Persons, Ian Hunter, Nils Lofgren, David Johansen, Robert Gordon — all of them worked that stage. And on January 12, 1982, Bruce Springsteen played the room.

Art Stock ran the Birch Hill Club in Old Bridge too, but the Royal Manor is the one people still bring up. The club closed in 1983. The name changed, the building came down, and there is a car dealership on the site now.

The badge is reproduced the way it would look on a shirt that had survived from the club's own run — the framed wordmark cracked and worn through, with the white knocked out so the shirt itself fills the frame.

Printed to order on a Gildan 64000 softstyle tee — 100% ring-spun cotton at 4.5 oz/yd² (153 g/m²), quarter-turned so there is no crease down the center, with shoulder-to-shoulder taping and double stitching at the neckline and sleeves. Sport Grey is a 90/10 cotton-polyester blend and the heather colors are 65/35. The chest graphic runs 11 inches wide, set about two inches below the collar.
