The memory
The concert was a turning point for the local music scene, which had been relatively quiet before the Stones’ arrival. Promoter Moe Septee, who had previously booked more middle-of-the-road acts, found great success with rock bands like the Rolling Stones and Herman’s Hermits. This shift helped establish Asbury Park as a significant stop for major rock acts in the years to come.
