Brighton Bar – Long Branch, NJ (1996–2021) More than a music venue, the Brighton was a punk sanctuary. From local garage bands to national legends like The Misfits and Monster Magnet, it gave the Jersey Shore a real stage—gritty, loud, and defiantly underground. Founded by Greg Macolino, it stood for 25 years before closing in 2021 and being demolished in 2022. The walls may be gone, but the noise lives on.
