FM106.3 WHTG
The memory
From a small studio in Eatontown, WHTG-FM 106.3 became the Jersey Shore’s go-to for alternative and modern rock. Breaking new bands, supporting local acts, and giving legends like The Cure, R.E.M., and Nirvana early airplay, the station was raw, real, and miles ahead of the curve. DJs like Matt Pinfield made it personal—and unforgettable. Before corporate radio killed the vibe, WHTG was where Jersey found its sound.
