Horner's Drive In

From the 1960s through the 1970s, Horner’s Drive-Thru stood on Asbury Avenue as a local favorite for quick, familiar food served with Shore-town simplicity. Families came by after the beach. Teenagers pulled up in cars with the windows down and radios on. The barbecue was popular, especially the pulled pork sandwiches, and the fried chicken was remembered as some of the best in the area. It wasn’t fancy—but it was part of everyday life in Asbury Park.
