Opened in 1963 by Gerald "Jerry" Lynch and his wife Fran, Jerry Lynch’s Hotel and Restaurant was a cornerstone of the Belmar beachfront for twenty years. Located at the corner of 5th and Ocean Avenues, it was a premier destination for the Irish-American community. Jerry, a celebrated tenor and the founder of the Belmar-Lake Como St. Patrick's Day Parade, made the venue a hub for traditional music and summer entertainment. It stood as a symbol of mid-century Shore hospitality until it closed in the early 1980s.
