Barry’s Tavern in Bradley Beach, NJ, was a beloved Main Street landmark for decades, known for its ice-cold beer, legendary homemade chili, and classic Jersey Shore dive bar atmosphere. Owned and operated by George Robert Barry for 34 years, it was the go-to spot where locals gathered after the beach, swapped stories, and soaked up the small-town vibe. In December 2007, Barry’s Tavern transitioned into D’Arcy’s Tavern, but for generations of Bradley Beach residents, the memory of Barry’s remains a defining piece of Shore nostalgia.
