The memory
The Story For decades, 110 Main Street was more than just a building; it was a time capsule. Originally opened in 1915 as The Palace (a vaudeville house), it was rebranded in 1976 as The Beach Cinema, the name most locals remember fondly today. In an era of multiplexes and digital projection, The Beach Cinema stood its ground as the last single-screen movie theater in Monmouth County. It was famous for its unapologetically retro vibe—cash only at the box office, real butter on the popcorn, and a marquee that lit up the Bradley Beach nights for over 40 years. It even boasts a Hollywood connection: legendary actor Jack Nicholson famously worked there as an usher during his teenage years. This design pays homage to the classic "Beach Cinema" era (1976–2018), capturing the charm of a local theater where the ticket prices were low, the seats were vintage, and the community always came first.
Weight-wise, this sits closer to a uniform shirt than a soft tee: 4.5 oz, 100% ring-spun cotton, double-seamed at the neck and sleeve hems. It's quarter-turned in construction, so no line runs down the middle. Heather shades run heavier on polyester than the base fabric.
