The memory

Opened in 1921 as a vaudeville house, the Capitol Theatre in Passaic, New Jersey, evolved into a legendary rock venue under promoter John Scher in the 1970s. With a seating capacity of 3,200, it hosted iconic performances by artists like The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, and the Grateful Dead. Notably, the Grateful Dead's April 25, 1977, concert at the Capitol was released as a live album, capturing the venue's exceptional acoustics and intimate atmosphere. Despite its closure in 1989 and demolition in 1991, the Capitol Theatre's legacy endures through recordings and memories of unforgettable shows.

Materials and print

Fabric: Cotton

Wearing this cap is a tribute to the golden era of live music and the iconic venue that made it possible.

Celebrate the legacy. Wear the memory.

This one's a 6-panel, unstructured low-profile cap in 100% cotton twill, washed for a vintage, worn-in look straight out of the box. It closes with a metal snap buckle in an antique brass finish over six sewn eyelets and a black sweatband, and the design is printed onto the front with a direct-to-film transfer.

The design is printed with a direct-to-film (DTF) transfer, one cap at a time, after you order it.

Shipping and returns

Made to order. Nothing sits in a warehouse. Your cap is made after you buy it and ships directly from the print facility, not from the Jersey Shore. Most orders ship within 3 business days, then normal transit time. Shipping is calculated at checkout, and it is free on any 3 tees or any order over $99.
