The memory
The Rainbow Room was the cocktail lounge of the Albion Hotel in Asbury Park, a hotel whose own matchbooks bragged that it was fireproof, new and completed in 1943. The lounge ran under a script neon sign and handed out red matchbooks with a martini glass on the front. The Albion later became a gathering place for Asbury Park's gay and lesbian community before it closed at the end of the 1980s, and the Rainbow Room's neon sign was saved; it now hangs at the Asbury Park transportation center. If you ever had a drink under that sign, this one's yours.

This design is traced from the Rainbow Room's real neon sign, outline script letters and star and all, with Albion Hotel and Asbury Park, NJ set underneath. It's printed in white ink with a worn-in, distressed finish, so it looks like a shirt that has been through a few hundred washes, and on Black it reads like the sign lit up at night.
Printed to order on a Gildan 64000 softstyle tee: 100% ring-spun cotton at 4.5 oz/yd² (153 g/m²), quarter-turned so there is no crease down the center, with shoulder-to-shoulder taping and double stitching at the neckline and sleeves. Sport Grey is a 90/10 cotton-polyester blend and the heather colors are 65/35 polyester-cotton. The chest graphic runs 11 inches wide, set about two inches below the collar.
The graphic is printed direct to garment, one at a time, after you order it.
