The memory

For nearly six decades, the Inkwell sat at 2 different locations on Second Avenue in Long Branch. In May 2022, the legend closed for good; by mid‑2023, plans broke ground to replace it with apartments—ending an era but cementing its legacy as a Jersey Shore icon.

Fabric and print

Fabric: Cotton

This hoodie is cut from 8 oz/yd² cotton-poly fleece, air-jet spun for a soft hand and less pilling than a plain blend. The hood is double-lined with a matching drawcord, the body quarter-turned so there's no crease down the front, and the cuffs finish in 1×1 ribbing.

The graphic is printed direct to garment, one at a time, after you order it.

Made to order. Nothing sits in a warehouse. Your hoodie is made after you buy it and ships directly from the print facility, not from the Jersey Shore. Most orders ship within 3 business days, then normal transit time. Shipping is calculated at checkout, and it is free on any 3 tees or any order over $99.

What happened to the Inkwell in Long Branch?

The Inkwell was the all-night coffeehouse of the West End, first at Second and Brighton and later farther down Second Avenue, a weekend hangout since the 1960s. The property was sold in 2022 and the building was razed in July 2024. A 22-unit apartment building called Inkwell Lofts stands there now, with a cafe on the ground floor.
